2023 SRAM WC DH race series dates released
The dates and venues have been announced for the 2023 SRAM Western Cape Downhill Series. Racing kicks off in January with a double header event at Paarl that incorporates a round of the SA Cup. Three weeks later the series moves to the Zevenwacht Wine Farm where riders will rally the fast and flowy DH line. The series then moves to the revamped Jonkershoek DH in April for another double-header event incorporating Round 3 of the SA Cup. After a winter break, the racing returns to Paarl in October. The season finale, the Championship race, will be at the Hellsend Dirt Compound in November.
SRAM confirms continued support as title sponsor
“We at SRAM SA are stoked to renew our title sponsorship of the WC DH Series for 2023” said Warren Lamb, GM of Cape Cycle Systems. “Our continued support of this grassroots racing scene helps the organizers run what is a very professional racing series. Overall, the SRAM WC DH Series encourages gravity riders of all ages to get on their bikes and have a good time in the outdoors, mixing with like-minded individuals in a friendly yet competitive environment. We have seen incredible growth on this side of the sport and are proud to be involved. It will be an exciting year of racing and we look forward to welcoming riders and spectators to the events.”
