Bradley out on the roads getting the final pre-season preparation dialed.

Being the current XTERRA World Champion I am determined to include a few midseason off-road races to cement my place at the top of the XTERRA world and ensure I arrive in Maui, Hawaii in October well prepared to defend my title. However, my focus will very much be on Taupo, New Zealand who will host the 2020 IRONMAN 70.3 World Championships on the 29th of November. After a top 10 finish at the 2019 IRONMAN 70.3 World Championships in Nice, France I am incredibly hungry to improve on this result! I want to win!” – Bradley Weiss

Upgrading to the new SRAM RED eTap AXS has been a massive improvement to my race setup. I have loved the ease of use and simplicity in the 1×12 system and I have been really impressed with the range of gears available. Being a smaller athlete very fond of the mountains I have always opted for more hilly courses to maximize my climbing abilities and take advantage of any technical descents as I came from a mountain biking background and love a few switchbacks! Initially, when receiving the new AXS eTap components I was worried about being over-geared on the climbs and spinning out on the faster descents but clearly the engineers over at SRAM have done their homework and my bike has become a rocket on both the climbs and descents! The super lightweight SRAM AXS cable-less system combined with my Specialized S-works SHIV disc race bike is honestly a dream come true and I cannot wait to attack the IRONMAN 70.3 calendar in the build-up to World Championships in Taupo, New Zealand later this year!” – Bradley Weiss
