We cannot stress just how important it is to select the right bike size for your little shredder. Their safety and very enjoyment of cycling could hinge on this decision.

SIZE GUIDE

Kids bikes are generally sized according to the size of the wheels and not the size of the frame. Knowing your child’s inseam measurement is crucial to select the right size bike for her or him. There are two golden rules which should never be compromised on. 1. When seated on the bike, the toes of the left and right feet must be able to touch the ground. 2. When off of the saddle and standing over the top tube (frame) they must be able to have both feet firmly on the ground at the same time. If they can’t do this – the bike is too big.

Below is a general guideline to follow which matches the inseam length to corresponding bike size. This will put you on the right path in selecting the correct size bike for your little shredder.

  • INSEAM RANGE: 45-56cm suits a 16″ bike
  • INSEAM RANGE: 56-63cm suits a 20″ bike
  • INSEAM RANGE: 63-66cm suits a 24″ bike
  • INSEAM RANGE: 66cm or over suits a 26″ bike
