Dylan Lamb lives in Cape Town’s Southern Suburbs area and started mountain biking at the age of 12. After a short period of racing, he shifted focus to ‘riding for the stoke’ in the world of freeriding. Dylan is best known for boosting higher than most on any jump line and for insane dirt jump attempts – most of which he lands. His performances at shuttle and dirt jump days have placed him in the upper echelon of the genre. Dylan is lucky enough to earn a living through trail building and helping riders progress their skills with coaching. This is Dylan’s fully custom Commencal Clash:

What’s your favorite component or feature on the bike? The electronic AXS shifting is ‘next level’. It’s super responsive with no cabling so I can do bar-spins which brings in the whole BMX and dirt jump style of riding to bigger bikes.

If you sold the bike, what component would you keep for your next bike? Everything! Ok, if I could only choose one it would be the Zeb – it’s just amazing in any conditions.

What surprises you the most about this bike? It’s just such a strong and beefy trail bike that takes in anything from a Downhill track to a techy line to fun flow lines. It’s even good for jibs. I thought it would be really horrible to climb but it’s actually not that bad.

Any imminent component upgrades and why? I think I want to try an air shock again as the coil lags a little bit.

What do you enjoy the most about this bike? It’s just a slopestyle bike that rips corners, does tricks well and rides like a dirt jump bike with a lot of suspension.

Pirelli M 27,5 x 2.6″ tyres front and rear offer good rolling speed between the trannies and the Enduro casing is burly so there’s very little collapsing in high speed turns and takeoffs. Dylan runs around 25 to 30psi front and rear.
