Luke is around 1,75m tall and rides a size large Top Fuel which has a reach of 480mm, when in the low setting.

It’s always interesting to see how an XC World Cup campaigner performs at a provincial Enduro race. When it’s a rider of Luke Moir’s pedigree, the interest peaks. Riding a 120mm Trek Top Fuel, he put in some fine times and actually nearly won the final stage. But for a little bad luck and a flat on the rocky Iron Monkey stage, he would likely have placed inside the top 5 Elite Men on the day. Impressive stuff. Here’s a closer look at how Luke sets his bike up.

The entire cockpit is stock with no aftermarket parts fitted. For more Enduro racing – especially on steep tracks – he would probably fit a higher rise bar.

“I didn’t need to change much for the Enduro as this thing is literally an all-rounder bike.” – Luke

21psi in the Bontrager XR4 front tyre which, in hindsight, was a little low for the speed Luke was riding on the technical stages. He said, for the next Enduro, he will put a Bontrager SE5 tyre on the front for a little more corner grip.

He chose the Bontrager SE5 tyre on the back as it has a little more volume, good braking characteristics and a tougher casing to handle the blows. 23psi is his magic number here and he doesn’t use inserts but is thinking about it.
