Here’s the official release straight from Titan Racing.

Titan Racing Announces the Switch Gen2 Gravel Race Bike

The Switch G2 represents a complete ground-up redesign of the original Switch frame, incorporating contemporary geometry, modern standards and a refreshed visual identity.

A significant amount of research and development has gone into designing and building a gravel bike for the modern rider, as the genre has changed and matured considerably since the Switch Gen1 was launched in 2019. This means that in addition to the greater tire clearance, the frame offers compatibility with the latest group sets and components, reduced frame weight, internal routing for a dropper seat post, and a race-ready geometry suited to stage races and one-day flat-out events.

Key updates include flat-mount standard brake mounts, fully internal cable routing throughout the frame, and a newly designed fork, with clearance for tires up to 50mm. With modern 13-speed drivetrains offering an extra-wide gear range, all models come as 1x only. This freed us up to optimize the design of the switch Gen2 frame, without any compromises.

Internal cable routing can be routed through the one-piece bar and stem for the ultimate clean and uncluttered look, or through the I.T.C.R. port on the downtube. The result is a true all-terrain race-ready platform that is confident off-road, efficient on the road, and engineered to meet the demands of all-terrain and gravel racing.

Key Details

  • Generous tire clearance | Accommodates tires up to 50 mm, delivering enhanced traction, comfort, and control across varied terrain.
  • Flat-mount brake standard | Ensures a clean, discreet caliper interface while reducing overall system weight.
  • Fully internal cable routing | Creates a clean, uncluttered cockpit and eliminates cable rub.
  • Dropped seat stays with optimized tube profiles | Engineered to increase rear-end compliance and reduce trail chatter compared to the previous Switch.
  • Dropper-post compatible seat tube with internal routing | Designed for gravel riders who want the added control and versatility of a dropper post.
  • 1x Specific Design | Allows for a fully optimized frame design
  •  Warranty | 5 Year Multi-User

Testing and Certification

A final prototype has been spotted at local races and events as part of the development team’s final checks before the bike goes into production. With all their in-house designs, riding prototypes forms an important part of development and testing. The frame has been engineered to exceed the rigorous requirements of the ISO 4210 bicycle safety standard – the internationally recognized benchmark for bicycle frame and component testing. ISO 4210 evaluates structural integrity, fatigue resistance, and impact durability through a series of demanding laboratory tests designed to simulate real-world riding stresses over an extended service life.

In addition to meeting and surpassing ISO 4210 requirements, the Switch G2 has also been subjected to an in-house–designed torture test, developed to push the structure well beyond standard certification thresholds. These proprietary tests replicate extreme load cases, repeated impacts, and long-term fatigue scenarios that reflect the realities of multi-user ownership and harsh riding environments.

In addition, every frame undergoes a series of non-destructive quality control tests to verify construction integrity and consistency before leaving the factory. This uncompromising approach to testing ensures the frame delivers long-term durability, consistent performance, and the confidence required to meet—and exceed—the Titan Racing multi-user warranty standard

Switch Carbon MX

With the introduction of the all-new Switch Gen2, we’ve added two MX models to the range. Both models feature a suspension fork with 60mm travel and a dropper seat post. By offering this as an option in our range, riders can look forward to a significant saving over retrofitting these to a gravel bike with a rigid fork.

The suspension fork, along with the ride and comfort characteristics of the Switch Gen2’s frame, offers a ride that is comfortable and easier on the body, especially on longer rides or on terrain that is corrugated. This will keep your mind and body feeling fresh for longer, making longer rides and all-day adventures more enjoyable.

Local Availability

The Switch MX Carbon Comp and Switch MX Carbon Pro models are available from today through your local Titan Racing dealer, with pricing around R64999 and R89999 respectively. All other models will land in early March. Learn more.
