Looking for an ultra-lightweight, high-performance, long-travel dropper?

If the answer is yes then you’re in luck because OneUp Components has released a new ‘V3’ Dropper that checks all of the above and is available in many many sizes — for just about any riding style. Gravel, XC, Trail or Enduro – let’s go!

There’s a wide range of travel options.

Sizing, travel and weights

The new dropper is available as a 27.2 diameter in 90 or 120mm travel options with (stated) weights coming in at 304g and 340g respectively. That’s insanely light! The more common diameters of 30.9, 31.6 and 34.9mm cover travel options from 90 up to a whopping 240mm, at 30mm increments. So that’s 90, 120, 150, 180, 210 or 240mm with weights starting at 325g and topping out at 765g.

The redesign reduces the stack height by 3mm and the total length of every dropper, by 10mm. Each size option of the new OneUp V3 dropper is around 60 to 70g lighter than the V2 equivalent.

New internals

OneUp says they have simplified and refined the internals to achieve a lighter, smoother and more reliable product. There’s a new hydraulic cartridge — that never needs to be inflated — which reduces breakaway forces dramatically.

Cable actuated design with a fully sealed cartridge.

The bushings are new and the redesign includes more overlap which further reduces friction of the system. A new SKF wiper seal does a better job of closing off the system from the elements and the V3 has more anti-rotational pins to reduce sideways movement or play.

Service, maintenance and warranty

OneUp says the new post requires no custom tools to work on and there’s no need to send the post away for maintenance. Full disassembly should take less than 10 minutes and requires a 14mm wrench with a basic hex key. Recommended service intervals are 120 hours for cleaning and regreasing purposes with a full rebuild recommended for every 350 ride hours.

A unique feature of the OneUp droppers is the adjustable travel, in 10mm increments.
