The crew from Canadian-based OneUp Components have released details on a new grip, developed with Jackson Goldstone, designed to add comfort and control. It looks pretty slick! Of all the features I like the cutaway under the thumb area that is intended to reduce vibrations. We’ve requested a few to review and run a giveaway. Here’s the official release.

Designed in Squamish. Developed Worldwide.

Jackson Goldstone worked directly with our engineering team in Squamish to design his signature grip from the ground up. From sketching up features at the office to riding prototypes to victory on the World Cup circuit. This is a true signature product.

A true signature grip.

This is a race grip designed for use at the pinnacle of DH racing. The new Goldstone Grips deliver ultimate control and a locked-in feel. You don’t need to be an elite rider to feel the benefits of these grips. They give riders of all skill levels a comfortable hand position thanks to a few unique design features that Jackson wanted for his signature product.

More features, less fatigue.

Outer Flange

The grips have a large-diameter outer flange. Jackson wanted this because he felt the flange helped keep his hands from slipping off the ends of the grip. And, unlike the bar-end donut things you see on the World Cup, Jackson wanted the outer flange to have a wedge shape, to give him something to push into when cornering.

Raised Palm Pad

Another key design feature is the raised palm pad, which provides added comfort and ergonomics. The palm pad adds some cushion to an otherwise slim grip while working in conjunction with the large end-flange. Together, the heel of your palm is locked in between the flange and the palm pad.

Finger Ribs

Finally, the ribs on the underside of the grip provide purchase for your fingertips, whether you’re hanging on for dear life or pulling for a high-line to win world champs.

Built to win. Made to last.

The grips come in a range of signature colours: White, Dark Green, Tan, Maroon and Black. A harder durometer rubber caps off the ends of each grip, preventing them from being easily damaged, while the softer durometer body provides the comfort and grip you need. What good is a grip if it only lasts for one race run?
