Few would argue that Duran is not one of the coolest mountain bikers on the planet. As a professional (and passionate) trail builder Duran plies his trade across Southern Africa, Europe and the East. When he is not on a trail build project, Duran can usually be found floating through a flow line near his home in Cape Town. We caught up with him to take a closer look at his newly beloved Trek Rail 7.

Duran rides a Trek Rail 7 eMTB which is a 160/150mm bike running on the Bosch drive unit.
The Rail 7 has a fully integrated and removable 625Wh battery and when you are as cool as @doobran_van_weeden you don’t need to hydrate on the trail.

The Bosch system uses eThirteen cranks which are 165mm long coupled with a 34T chain ring. Duran uses Spank Spoon flat pedals.

Duran runs 2 volume spacers inside the RockShox Yari fork with 110psi.
