News: Cannondale Announces New Pricing Structure
Omnico, the local distribution partner for Cannondale bikes, is thrilled to announce a revised pricing structure for the South African market.
In a positive step to get more bikes on the trails and roads, Mark Nel the National Sales and Marketing Chief at Omnico has told us that Cannondale bikes will now be a whole lot more affordable in South Africa. As we understand it, this news follows many months of consultation and planning between Cannondale South Africa and its dealer network to reach a new structure that will lower the pricing, on all Cannondale models, now and in the future.
“South Africa has a unique economic environment. This coupled with the after-effects of Covid and erratic currency fluctuations has seen bicycle prices skyrocket over the last few years. Our objective is to ensure Cannondale Bicycles are always accessible to as many cyclists as possible.” said Mark Nel of Omnico.
Mark adds further insights: “Yes, this is great news for the SA consumer. Essentially, our multi-brand strategy here at Omnico enables us to readjust the pricing on Cannondale. South African riders will now be able to enjoy a premium product, for less. The value-for-money proposition will now be more attractive to shoppers.”
Mark explained that this complete readjustment of pricing also means that moving forward it’s unlikely the brand will run seasonal clearance sales or any special deals. He added: “We do believe that this strategy will offer a reprieve in what is currently a very difficult economic climate for South Africans.”
