Rissveds dominates as Maxwell secures the overall

In the Elite Women’s race Jenny Rissveds set a blistering pace from the start, steadily increasing her advantage to take the win by three minutes and 30 seconds. Behind Jenny the series leader Sammy Maxwell moved clear of the chase group that included Evie Richards and Sina Frei to secure second place and become the 2025 World Cup Champion. The race for third was tightly contested, with Evie Richards edging out Sina Frei to claim the final podium spot. While upfront in the early laps, Candice Lill finished the day in sixth.

Aldridge secures maiden Elite XCO win

In the Elite Men’s Race, Charlie Aldridge moved clear of the lead group with an attack in the closing minutes of the race, to claim his first elite XCO World Cup win. The tight and technical track created close racing with a few of the best riders hitting the deck at some time in the race. Behind that powerful attack of Aldridge, Martin Vidaurre Kossman held on for second and Mathis Azzaro took the final podium spot. Chris Blevins, the overall series winner cruised home in 23rd. SA’s Luke Moir who had been fighting illness earlier in the week, then had a nasty crash the day before the XCO which took him off the start sheet. //
