SRAM releases free firmware update enabling faster multi-shifts for T-Type
News just in from SRAM is they have a free firmware update that enables a faster multi-shift on their AXS T-Type drivetrains.
The new firmware, dubbed 2.53.8, contains a timing update to the cassette mapping multi-shift intervals. This means that on successive shifts, of three or more, the derailleur will move quicker between gear positions.
As far as we can see if applies to all SRAM Eagle AXS T-Type groupsets. We are told this update is based on years of additional post launch testing and maintains the chain engagement standards that are required for the best ‘shift under load’ experience. Sounds neat.
