SRAM gives DB8 Brakes the Stealth makeover

The base-level yet properly powerful SRAM DB8 Brakes are now available in the new stealth design.

We first rode and reviewed the SRAM DB8 Brakes last year and found them to be almost as powerful as the brand’s Code brakes. In terms of pure bite power, the wallet-friendly (like half the price!) DB8 option is maybe 10% less powerful than the Codes which makes them a great option for Trail, Enduro and any eMTB rider.
What’s changed?
SRAM has updated the lever body of the DB8 to a stealth design — meaning it sits closer or more flush with the handlebars. The result is the brake hose runs parallel to the handlebars which creates a cleaner cockpit.

As far as we can tell the design change is purely aesthetics and doesn’t change the bite power of the brakes. It also looks like the pricing hasn’t changed – which is neat! One of the major benefits of a mineral oil brake system is you’ll probably only need a brake bleed every two years. Learn more: sram.com //
