It’s official – after 16 years with the Santa Cruz Syndicate, Greg Minnaar has left the team.

With a career that kicked off in the 90s, Greg has risen to the top of the sport and depending on which way you dice it, is the greatest rider of all time. In a sport where most riders peak in their 20s, Greg is still at the sharp end of the field at the tender age of 42.

After 16 epic years of racing, puzzling, and making incredible memories together, Greg Minnaar is hanging up his Syndicate jersey. We wish Greg nothing but the best, and want to extend a huge thanks for everything he and the Santa Cruz Syndicate have accomplished together. From the dominant 00’s to his current status as the Greatest Of All Time. It’s been one hell of a ride.” – Santa Cruz Bicycles

Retirement is not on the cards. Many rumors are circulating about where he will end up in 2024, the loudest of which appears to be he’ll be joining Norco.
