Race Highlights: 2025 World Cup XCO, Araxá Brazil

World Cup kicks off in Brazil with some incredible racing!


In the Women’s Race, Samara Maxwell moved clear of the lead group on the penultimate lap to take her first Elite World Cup win and move into the overall points lead. Candice Lill had two solid results over the weekend with a seventh in Saturday’s XCC and a fifth in Sunday’s XCO, putting her into fifth in the series. In the U23 race, Tyler Jacobs had two sixth positions and finishes the weekend fifth in the points. Here’s the highlights:
In the men’s race, Specialized Factory Racing put in a dominant performance as team mates Victor Koretzky, Christopher Blevins and Martin Vidaurre Kossmann took a historic 1-2-3 finish. Riding his first Elite race, Luke Moir impressed with an incredible 17th in the XCC and 19th in the XCO. Here’s the highlights.
It’s a double-header race in Araxá with round two of the 2025 World Cup Series scheduled for 10, 11, 12 April. //
