Jonkershoek hosted the third round of the South African Downhill Cup and SRAM Western Cape Series over the weekend.
The start list of 127 riders included a few rookies, seasoned shredders and some of the fastest gravity riders in South Africa. The relatively short track is famed for its flow, high-speed sections and a healthy dose of jumps. Unseasonal rains served a slick and tricky track for Saturday’s practice sessions however the sky turned blue and hero dirt was on the menu for Sunday’s racing.
