The Queen of the Classics delivered two incredible races!
On a cobbled section with 60km to go, World Champion Mathieu van der Poel launched an attack that put him out front, alone. “I didn’t expect to be alone,” said Mathieu, before continuing, “I just wanted it to be a hard final.” In the Women’s Race, Lotte Kopecky rode a tactically brilliant race and won the final sprint from a small bunch, in the velodrome. Meanwhile, Kim le Court from Mauritius was in the mix at or near the front of the race and placed an eventual and incredible, 10th. Here are the race highlights:
