First Look: NEW Leatt 3.0 All Mountain Jersey & Shorts
Plush fabric, all-day comfort with protection and stylish design
The next-generation Leatt All Mountain gear has arrived with a fresh design, new storage features and pajama-like comfort. Aimed at riders chasing trails on analog or eMTBs, the crew at Leatt has added new functional tech to the 3.0 All Mountain range to help it perform better than the alternatives.
In addition to the new designs and features, Leatt is delivering a more conscientious product with environmentally preferred, recycled materials. Here’s the lowdown:
Leatt 3.0 All Mountain Jersey
Regular fit, short sleeve technical riding jersey with storage
The 3.0 All Mountain Jersey is available in glow, spinach or black (shown) colorways. The standout features are the concealed support belt that secures cargo when hurtling down trails, a hook to carry eyewear when climbing and the anti-abrasion panels that provide some protection and garment durability.
The high quality construction uses a combination of two fabrics. A super soft material known as IceYarn (made from recycled coffee grounds) adds breathability and pyjama-like comfort. Leatt says the anti-abrasion and water resistant material that covers the shoulders and upper back adds garment durability and some level of protection.

Two meshed cargo pockets, each with a zip, are stacked above one another and positioned in the lower back. Energy bars, spares and medium-sized mobile phones easily slot into the pockets. One of the biggest issues when pinning trails is controling — ie: not losing — the contents of jersey pockets. In what I believe to be a first-to-market concept, Leatt have designed a support belt that runs on the inside of the jersey, the purpose of which is to add stability to the pockets — essentially preventing them from flopping all over the place when riding technical trails. Other nice touches include top quality zippers, stealth reflective trim and taped seams.
IMPRESSIONS | Initially I thought the support belt was a bit of a joke and that I’d hate it. How wrong I was. On a two hour ride I never even thought about the belt, but I did notice the upside — my pockets and cargo stayed in place when things got rowdy. Overall, the fit and styling is on trend and the jersey is incredibly comfortable. Its another impressive, high-quality construction garment with lightweight technical fabric that targets the specific needs of aggresive trail riders.
Leatt 3.0 All Mountain Shorts
Durable riding shorts with onboard storage and removable chamois
The 3.0 All Mountain Shorts are available in black, glow and granite (shown) colourways. The standout feature is the Rear Mission Pack designed to carry a chin bar, protection or jackets. With this garment, Leatt is introducing a new 4-way stretch outershell that doubles down on breathability.
Leatt are using a double snap closure system with front zip and two velcro waistline adjusters to tweak the fit. The fabric on the three front zippered pockets has water and shock resistant qualities and the front and rear thigh panels are of a more minimalist and perforated, 4-way stretch fabric.

Leg length is spot on. They are sufficiently long so as to cover the top area of your knee pads, yet Leatt hasn’t designed them too long that they can’t be used without knee protection. The shorts are supplied with a removable chamois — the non-bib variety — that have no silicone grippers, a generously padded chamois and a minimalist lycra feel that offer maximum breathability.
IMPRESSIONS | Four zippered pockets may seem overkill but when riding trails I’d far rather have too many pockets than not enough. The Rear Mission Pack is pure genius and it actually does what it is designed to – flawlessly. The shorts are not a snug fit but also are not super baggy that they will snag on your bike controls, saddle or branches. Around the thighs the fit is a little more relaxed providing easy mobility and all-day comfort. If you prefer to spend hours in the saddle not knowing you’re wearing riding shorts and a chamois, the 3.0 All Mountain by Leatt is an excellent recommendation.
