Shimano releases new RX710 Gravel Shoe

Shimano has introduced the new RX710, a gravel shoe that brings technology from its flagship road shoe, the S-PHYRE RX910 but at what should be a more attainable price point.
Aimed at riders who split their time between racing, training and long-distance gravel adventures, the RX710 is built around a carbon-reinforced mid-sole with a claimed stiffness rating of 9/12. Shimano says the combination is designed to deliver efficient power transfer while retaining enough comfort for long hours in the saddle.

The shoe also features Shimano’s Pontoon Cleat System, which is intended to create a more stable interface between shoe and pedal while improving grip and confidence when walking over rough or loose terrain.

Up top, a lightweight synthetic leather upper is paired with dual BOA® L6Z dials, allowing riders to make quick, precise fit adjustments on the move. The RX710 also uses Shimano’s updated Dynalast 2.0 last, which is designed to offer an improved fit across a broader range of foot shapes.

The RX710 is available in Navy, Black and Sand White, with standard, wide and narrow fit options. Claimed weight is 315g per shoe (size 43) and we haven’t an exact retail price on these as they will vary from store to store. MORE: shimano.com //
