XC TEST: Trek Supercaliber vs. Trek Top Fuel — Which Is Faster?

Using a standard Supercaliber 9.8 and Top Fuel 9.8, Alisha and I did back-to-back tests on a technical piece of singletrack to determine which bike is faster.

The trail is quite technical and short enough to just ride flat out so we never pulled in any heart rate or power data. In terms of our riding experience; Alisha Myers is an endurance specialist who thrives on the climbs and has a few Cape Epics under her belt and I raced cross-country a long time ago.

We used a piece of singletrack known as the Lobotomy which runs off The Missing Link trail below the Twelve Apostle mountains in Cape Town.
